Antikythera Mechanism
Referred to as the first known analog computer, the Antikythera Mechanism was discovered over a hundred years ago off the coast of Greece. The mechanism is a device for calculating the motions of stars and planets. Its true significance wasn’t realized until the early 70’s, when it was x-rayed and analyzed. The Greek astronomer Meton of Athens (fifth century BC) observed that a period of 19 years is almost exactly equal to 235 synodic months and, rounded to full days, counts 6,940 days. The difference between the two periods is only a few hours. When we reduce these numbers to their digital root we find they all reduce to One.
