Vitruvian Man Handled

Vitruvian Man Square the Circle

Leonardo da Vinci’s famous depiction of Vitruvius encodes geometrical gnosis that’s hidden deep beneath the collective unconscious. Let’s man handle these esoteric concepts and bring light to where there is darkness Leonardo was familiar with the golden ratio and modeled Vitruvian’s square and circle off it. It turns out that this Phi ratio is almost exactly smack dab in the middle of the two solutions of ‘squaring the circle’, that is drawing a square that is commensurate to a circle, either by having equal areas, or equal perimeters ( or lengths).

Water: It’s a Mystery

Geometry of the Water Droplet

Water is the most common substance known to man and also the most mysterious.  The list of anomalies associated with it runs as long as the ocean is deep.  Modern science has ignored this seemingly simple molecule, dismissing any qualities beyond the materialistic as pseudoscience and new age baloney.  Water is central to life and more than its mere chemical makeup.  Today nobody really understands it.  Water is the ultimate mystery. Any substance can exist in three different physical forms; solid, liquid and gas. Water is the only substance on earth that naturally occurs in all three states. As a gas it is one of lightest known, as a liquid it is much denser than expected and as a solid it is much lighter than expected. Unlike other liquids, water expands when frozen. Yet, while frozen, weighs around 9% less than water which is why…

Cosmic Proportions

Earth Moon and Phi

The physical sizes of Earth and Moon are encoded into the proportions and measurements we commonly use in our daily lives.  From Renaissance artists to 21st century school teachers, we all use these cosmic proportions.  Very few are cognizant of their underlying meaning. If our Moon sat directly tangent to Earth, these are the proportions that arise.  The circumference of the circle is equal to the perimeter of the square to 99.97% accuracy according to NASA’s own data. The Great Pyramid’s dimensions can be broken down to 7 high, and 11 across.  The perimeter of the base equals the circumference of a circle whose radius is equal to the height of the pyramid. The Moon and Earth can be summed up amazingly well using the numbers 3 and 11.  Maybe that punk rock band understood these sacred geometrical concepts and hid it in their name.

Flower Power

FLower orange geometry joe dubs

The power in the flowers is generated by geometry, the second discipline in the study of the Quadrivium (Number, Geometry, Music, Cosmology). Before that is Number.  Can you define a triangle without the certain ‘threeness’ that is embedded in its creation?  This trinity develops the first shape in our reality.  Maybe this is why the Pythagoreans thought that numbers began at three instead of unity. Four is the first number that models three dimensions.  Think of a tetrahedron with its four points and four sides. Nature always uses the simplest and most efficient numbers and geometries when organizing itself.  Geometry exists everywhere.  Some of the most beautiful displays of nature’s intelligent design are encoded in the makeup of a flower. “In ancient Greece the advanced students of the philosopher Pythagoras who were engaged in deep studies of natural science and self-understanding were called “mathematekoi” “those who studied all.” ‘ The…

The Great Pyramid of Giza

Some claim that we have the technology to build a replica of the Great Pyramid of Giza today, while others suggest the intricate detail, being so far advanced, is impervious to the consciousness of modern man.  Our hubris blinds us to the possibility that the Ancients were far more developed than we are today.  Sure, we may have iphones and nanotechnology, but the ineffable brilliance and extreme precision attained by the Ancients through their architecture is still unattainable for experts in 2015. The golden proportion is found throughout the Great Pyramid of Giza.  The picture above shows a few ways phi and phee are encoded into its structure. As we will see Pi is also found in the measurements of this magnificent giant.  Mainstream academia dismisses these findings since they are not 100% accurate.(They are 99.9+% accurate).  Little do they know that 100% precision is unobtainable…

The Platonic and Pythagorean Solids

Platonic Elements

The Platonic solids are 3-dimensional forms that nature uses to build herself.  The mental construct of reality seen in the form of geometry.     There are only five of them, naturally, since it is this (phi)veness that generates life as we know it. The Platonic, Pythagorean, or Perfect Solids: Let’s imagine you are on the inside of a sphere and are asked to make a bunch of different three-dimensional forms using only straight lines that all touch the surface of the sphere.  You could make all kinds, an infinite amount actually.  But if every line had to be of equal length, and all the shapes made had to be the same, you could only make 5 different ‘perfect solids’. These have been coined the ‘Platonic solids’, for his namesake, Plato.  Before his time they called them the Pythagorean solids because Pythagoras taught them in his mystery…

Is Earth Convex, Flat, or Concave?

cosmic egg

Do we live on the outside of a ball?  Do we live on a circular disc?  Or do we live on the inside of a sphere that houses our entire universe?   While this may sound absolutely ridiculous, there are some interesting things to learn just by asking these crazy questions. It’s OK to ask such a ridiculous question.  The authorities are often wrong, and usually programmed to believe half truths. Our society is backwards.  The things we have been led to believe in mainstream science, media, and our school books are usually a 180 degree perversion of the actual truth.  It’s not hard to see this for some subjects like traditional medicine, where we treat poisoned patients with more poison.  Or our political system, where we vote for a conservative or liberal puppet of a corrupt oligarchical corporatocracy we call ‘government‘.  But to say that our whole world is opposite of what…

Happy Pi Day!

great pyramid pi tau giza

Pi is the relationship between a circle’s circumference and its diameter. Tau is the ratio of a circle’s circumference to its radius. Pi = 3.141592653.. Tau = 6.283185307.. It’s been argued that Tau is a better value to use, but today let’s just talk about Pi , since it’s Pi Day! This post is being published, and this website is being launched, on 3/14/15 at 9:26 and 53 seconds, mountain time. Pi = 3/14/15-9:26:53… Technically it is Gregorian Pi Day, since our months are all screwed up. In the 16th century Pope Gregory, in his infinite wisdom, decided to change their order.  This is easy to see since the etymology of half of the months clearly indicates this.  January is the first month but this wasn’t always so.  March is actually the first month of the year which makes sense as Earth renews itself…
