EDITOR FLAMING SWORD:
What is the Koreshan teaching concerning telepathy and clairvoyance? Are there any conditions under which intercourse between the living and the dead is possible? What is the Koreshan teaching concerning the hollow globe?
—A Reader.
Answer: Man, in his natural state, possesses two physical bodies: the dense, which is visible, and the rarer, which we call the natural spirit. The natural spirit of a living person may, and does, under some conditions, visit another party, and through the elements of the atmosphere, communicate or convey ideas. Clairvoyants and clairaudients, those who see and hear more distinctly than others, often see the natural spirits of the living, and hear them in the same manner as persons see and hear the forms and voices of the so-called dead. Under certain conditions, persons may, and do, communicate with each other through the natural spirit. We are bound together in a network of correspondence, defined by the laws of the alchemico-organic Kosmos. These lines of correspondence are the lines of recognition between persons, whether living or dead.
A person's natural spirit may not only be seen by a clairvoyant at a distance, but it may be heard by a clairaudient. A person can speak through his natural spirit, and the words may be heard by the clairaudient person hundreds of miles away. The natural spirit of the dead (the physical body from which departed) may also be seen, but no dead person has ever returned or can return to the natural world to communicate with persons upon the natural plane. The dead have no power to communicate with the living, because the conditions of the new life are outside the domain of natural law.
The New Testament Scriptures teach that there is a great gulf fixed between the living and the dead, so that they cannot pass from one side to the other. But the natural spirit of a dead person may be seen for days, or even months, after the death of the physical body, as a living person's spirit often is; but this is no more a communication with the dead than seeing a person's photograph is a communication with the person.
What is called the "Spiritualist" idea of communicating with the dead is a delusion. The dead have gone forever from the natural plane of existence. The only possible way in which the Spirit of Truth from the invisible world can manifest through a medium, is by the Holy Spirit's control of a medium through the laws of correspondence, as of old.
The Hollow Globe.
The teaching of Koreshanity concerning the form of the earth is that the earth is a concave sphere, the sun is at the center of the concave, and all the planetary and stellar phenomena are the result of the activities of the energies of the great electro-magnetic field, generated by the machinery of the cell, or concave shell. The earth is the physical body of the universe; the universe is within the earth; the sun, moon, planets, and stars are all within the shell of the earth. This is not an opinion, but a demonstrated fact, based upon actual surveys and optical experiments made by the Koreshan Unity and described in the various issues of The Flaming Sword, and in the volume entitled "The Cellular Cosmogony." This latter work is a complete compendium of the Koreshan System of Science and contains the reports of the surveys and experiments, with the deductions from them, together with the complete philosophy of the Koreshan Universology.
#### Koreshan Cosmogony.
I have been reading the Koreshan publications, and I must say that I am about convinced. The argument is certainly a strong one, and appeals to my sense of reason. Why do not our so-called scientists answer it? I have not found a flaw in your logic. I cannot conceive of the outward frame of modern astronomy, but there is something in the new that holds my mind as by a bound. I hope to learn more.

#### Greatest Work Outside the Bible.
I have just finished reading "The Cellular Cosmogony," and I must say it is the most masterly work of the age. I cannot ponder over it without the deepest interest. Its chain of argument seems unanswerable, and when I consider the position of modern science, and the power which it wields, and then think of the wide gap between this work and the tomes of scientific literature, I feel sure that the time is not far distant when the Koreshan System of Science will take its place as the accepted standard.

#### Are We In It?
(From the Albuquerque Journal-Democrat)
A book of over two hundred pages, with the above title, the central thought of which is that we are living on the inside of the earth, has been published at Chicago by Koresh, the would-be Messiah of the Koreshan community of that city. Koresh is a leader of the celibate colony near Chicago, a man, who, if he is not a deep student, is certainly a voluminous reader, and has a happy faculty of seizing upon the statements of scientific men and turning them, without the least compunction, to his own use. This work is filled with all sorts of arguments in support of the theory, and recommends more extensive investigation of the matter under the auspices of the Koreshan Unity.
But perhaps the most interesting and certainly the unique part of the work is the exposition of the wonderful powers of the X-ray in setting at work the forces revealed to man by the discovery of Prof. Roentgen. The claim is made that a force allied to the X-ray has its origin in the sun, and is projected as a cone of energy into the concave of the earth. This force, it is held, is the cause of the visibility of the sun, moon, planets, and stars; the gravity that holds the moon in its orbit or causes the fall of bodies to the earth is the same force, but differently modified. The book is well worth the perusal of any one who cares to see how many of the accepted facts of science may be accounted for under the Koreshanian interpretation.
