You Smell Bad: Removing Toxic Crap From Your Life is a side project I’ve been working on.  The point is to teach people to remove toxic crap from their lives.  People don’t smell bad because of natural body odor (ok well sometimes that’s true too), but from unnatural fragrances that are added to hygienic products we use daily, the same fragrances and chemicals that unknowingly make us sick. Statins stealthily strain and starve the brain leaving us stuck in a stupendous stupor; statins make us stupid. Alliteration aside, cholesterol is clearly correlated with cognition, since our Central Nervous System (the brain) stores a quarter of our body’s cholesterol, despite being representative of only 2% of our body’s mass. “The human brain is nearly 60 percent fat.” Statins are drugs that lower cholesterol. High cholesterol is ostensibly the cause of heart disease, and since heart disease is the number one cause of death -save for iatrogenesis or deaths caused by allopathic intervention– cholesterol lowering drugs are arguably the most prescribed and profitable drugs in the universe.   The statin drug called Lipitor was the singular most prescribed drug between 1996-2012 with sales of over 140 million. In the last few decades there’s been an unbelievable amount of research into the understanding of something called endocannabinoids.  With that said, right now my spell-checker is currently blinking at me when I right out the word. This just goes to show that although medical science can make leaps and bounds in the light of contemporary research containing cannabis, the stigma still remains. The very word conjures up propaganda films made in the 30’s like ‘Reefer Madness’.  It’s as Max Planck put it, “A new scientific truth does not triumph by convincing opponents and making them see the light, but rather because its opponents eventually die, and a new generation grows up that is familiar with it. The Cholesterol Myth

For the past 70 some odd years, the health and medical professionals have been proselytizing the idea that saturated fats clog our arteries and cause cardiovascular heart disease. There’s a lot of pseudo-science and dogma that upholds this mistaken beLief.  So, let’s get the skinny on the real science behind fat.

The science used to ostensibly prove this so called “Lipid hypothesis” is extremely problematic.  They often would just cherry pick countries of study that suited their hypothesis.  Other questionable techniques they used to reverse engineer their hypothesis include feeding rabbits saturated fats.  The poor bunnies did drop dead, but the flaw here is that rabbits are herbivores, and therefore are not designed to eat fat.
