Health Dangers of a Plant-Based Diet

By Kevin Stock To claim there are health dangers with a plant-based diet flies in the face of conventional wisdom. It’s surely heresy among nutrition experts. These experts tell us we need to eat fruits and vegetables for their essential vitamins and minerals. Their potent antioxidants ward off aging and cancer. And their fiber cleans our tubing, keeping our intestines and arteries clean.   Could there really be health dangers to a plant-based diet? Contrary to popular belief, plants don’t have human health as their top priority. Like all organisms, they are more concerned about their survival than ours. In fact, protecting themselves from predators like humans is high on their priority list. And since plants can’t fight us off with fangs or flee with their feet they’ve evolved other mechanisms to deter predators. Health Dangers of a Plant-Based Diet: Plant Poison Directory In this series we are going…

The Diet Deception: Vegetarianism Turns You into a Vegetable

“Eat your vegetables”, we’re told, “They’re good for you” they say. This is all we’ve ever heard from mom, dad, doctors, and nutritionists the world over.  Fruits and vegetables are healthy and fat is bad. It’s as simple as that. If you disagree you are either unsympathetic to all those innocent animals that die for your insatiable thirst for dead flesh, or just plain dumb and don’t understand dietary science.   The science is settled, meat causes cancer, cholesterol clogs your arteries, and fat makes you fat. Wait! Not so fa$t!  Like much of what we accept as sacrosanct in the medical and nutritional world, economic factors often come into play, but that is another article entirely. Actually, most of what we’re taught, or should I say conditioned to beLIEve, is usually a 180 degree inversion of what is actually true. Meat does NOT…

You Smell Bad: Removing Toxic Crap From Your Life

Yousmellbad.org is a side project I’ve been working on.  The point is to teach people to remove toxic crap from their lives.  People don’t smell bad because of natural body odor (ok well sometimes that’s true too), but from unnatural fragrances that are added to hygienic products we use daily, the same fragrances and chemicals that unknowingly make us sick. I’m talking about laundry detergent, dryer sheets, cleaning products, air freshener, deodorant, cologne and perfume, shampoo, body wash, and the list goes on and on.  If you live your life like most people you’ve grown accustomed to poisoning yourselves because heck, everybody else uses Tide and Speedstick™, why shouldn’t I?  I’m sure millions of people wouldn’t use it unless it was safe? … right? Wrong. These products are not safe and they are slowly making us all sick.  We not only have to worry…

An Exposé on Reported Mortality Rates: Admissions of a Death Certificate Clerk

Originally titled: A Humbling Exposé into the Creation of Mortality Rates and its Impact on Our Public Health Beliefs and Choices by Joy Fritz Posted on: MONDAY, FEBRUARY 12, 2018 My dear Facebook friends and family, I work with doctors, coroners and the local county registrars everyday to create death records. It’s what I do for a living and wanted to share my thoughts on the mortality rates being thrown around on main stream and social media regarding the influenza epidemic.  Please note: This information I am sharing is not limited to influenza reporting, but rather, serves as a case study of how the mortality rate recording system (mal)functions at large. I am sorry to say that death rates are NOT as simple nor as valid as every news broadcaster with perfectly-trained vocal delivery makes them sound, and they are absolutely not the infallible…

Statins Starve The Brain: Cholesterol Correlated Cognition

Statins stealthily strain and starve the brain leaving us stuck in a stupendous stupor; statins make us stupid. Alliteration aside, cholesterol is clearly correlated with cognition, since our Central Nervous System (the brain) stores a quarter of our body’s cholesterol, despite being representative of only 2% of our body’s mass. “The human brain is nearly 60 percent fat.” https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/m/pubmed/20329590/ Statins are drugs that lower cholesterol. High cholesterol is ostensibly the cause of heart disease, and since heart disease is the number one cause of death -save for iatrogenesis or deaths caused by allopathic intervention– cholesterol lowering drugs are arguably the most prescribed and profitable drugs in the universe.   The statin drug called Lipitor was the singular most prescribed drug between 1996-2012 with sales of over 140 million. The second most popular prescription drug Plavix, another heart medication, didn’t even come close with about 74 million…

The Endocannabinoid System, CBD Hemp Oil, & The End Of Suffering

The Endocannabinoid System hemp cbd oil colorado

In the last few decades there’s been an unbelievable amount of research into the understanding of something called endocannabinoids.  With that said, right now my spell-checker is currently blinking at me when I right out the word. This just goes to show that although medical science can make leaps and bounds in the light of contemporary research containing cannabis, the stigma still remains. The very word conjures up propaganda films made in the 30’s like ‘Reefer Madness’.  It’s as Max Planck put it, “A new scientific truth does not triumph by convincing opponents and making them see the light, but rather because its opponents eventually die, and a new generation grows up that is familiar with it. Science advances one funeral at a time.” Scientists coined the name endocannabinoid from its namesake, cannabis, or ‘cannabis sativa’, more popularly known as marijuana.  Endo simply means…

The Cholesterol Myth

For the past 70 some odd years, the health and medical professionals have been proselytizing the idea that saturated fats clog our arteries and cause cardiovascular heart disease. There’s a lot of pseudo-science and dogma that upholds this mistaken beLief.  So, let’s get the skinny on the real science behind fat.

The science used to ostensibly prove this so called “Lipid hypothesis” is extremely problematic.  They often would just cherry pick countries of study that suited their hypothesis.  Other questionable techniques they used to reverse engineer their hypothesis include feeding rabbits saturated fats.  The poor bunnies did drop dead, but the flaw here is that rabbits are herbivores, and therefore are not designed to eat fat. Of course they are going to get sick and die! Continue reading
